Description

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board serves a population of over 2.7 million people living across 9 Local Authority areas covering both urban and rural communities, with areas of high deprivation and ethnically diverse communities. We are one of the largest systems; made up of 9 Place-based Partnerships, two NHS Provider Collaboratives, 48 Primary Care Networks, and nearly 2,000 voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise organisations. We have a strong track record of partnership working and a joint vision of ensuring that everyone in Cheshire and Merseyside has a great start in life and gets the support they need to stay healthy and live longer.

Following the announced retirement of our current Chief Executive, we are seeking a new transformational and collaborative Chief Executive to lead our system. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of significant health and care reform across Cheshire and Merseyside. Building on strong relationships with system partners, this role will provide the vision and create the system conditions and culture, to actively improve health outcomes for our populations through cost-effective and value-added sustainable models of integrated health and care services.

An established Chief Executive or equivalent, with a track record of delivering transformation at scale; you will be experienced in leading complex health and/or social care organisations or systems.  You will share our belief in the huge opportunities offered by integrated health and care services and recognise the power of digitisation in achieving change and improved outcomes.  Your skills in building an empowered leadership team will be essential, and you will quickly establish credibility with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders.  At the heart of all your decision making will be your inclusive approach to our staff, patients, and the public.

We are keen to attract candidates who can bring diverse perspectives, and we welcome expressions of interest from the widest possible range of backgrounds, particularly those who are under-represented at board level in the NHS.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact across our system and lead NHS Cheshire and Merseyside as we strive to prevent ill health and tackle health inequalities across our populations. If you share our vision and values and want to know more, then we would love to hear from you.
